CEO Foreword
Sigma Cylinders was built on a conviction that has guided our family for three generations: that industry, done properly, improves people's daily lives. Our mission follows directly from making the safest LPG cylinders accessible for every use.
My grandfather began with an entrepreneurial spirit; my father built on it. My responsibility is to carry it forward.
For us, legacy is not inherited; it is protected. A lesson I return to often: it takes a lifetime to build a name and only seconds to ruin it.
Integrity therefore comes before growth. We want to be known as people who keep their word and stay transparent, particularly when circumstances are difficult. Growth matters, but how we grow matters just as much; trust is earned over years of consistent action.
Entrepreneurship, for us, means the courage to build. Relocating to Côte d'Ivoire to establish our manufacturing plant now one of three, alongside Lebanon and Ghana- serving customers in more than 35 countries taught me that ideas alone are not enough; what counts is accountability, owning the outcome and building from the ground up.
That mindset has taken us to more than 6M cylinders per year, the largest LPG cylinder manufacturer in Africa and one of the five largest worldwide. Our vision is clear: by 2036, Sigma Group will exceed 10M cylinders per year as the world's largest manufacturer of quality cylinders. The next step is already underway: a new plant scheduled for commissioning in July 2027. Africa should not only consume LPG; it should build an industrial base for its own growth.
Excellence is not a destination. Innovation is how we pursue better technology, better processes, higher standards and teamwork is how we deliver it, beginning with our own people. More than 17 nationalities work within Sigma Group, and wherever we invest, we develop local skills.
The culture we are building is best described in two words: ambitious and caring. We want people to think big, never at the expense of those around them or of the places we operate in, a principle our teams and partners put into practice each year at our plantation days in Côte d'Ivoire and Lebanon. Safety, above all, remains non-negotiable, held to ISO & Pi Marking certifications and every applicable standard in the markets we serve, and audited as such.
Industries change. Countries change. Technology will keep changing. Safety, integrity, accountability, teamwork, innovation and excellence should not.
